“The modern world has become obsessed with explaining dogs through science.
People talk about intelligence.
People talk about emotions.
People talk about hormones like oxytocin and cortisol.
People talk about behavior and psychology.
But in all of this focus on science, humanity has forgotten the most important parts of the dog:
Spirit.
Instinct.
To me, spirit comes first.
Instinct comes second.
Intelligence comes after that.
Emotion comes after that.
For thousands of years, human beings lived with dogs before there were scientists, laboratories, or studies.
Dogs existed in connection with nature, survival, instinct, energy, and presence.
Not theories.
Not measurements.
Not storytelling.
The dog did not become humanity’s greatest companion because of intelligence alone.
The dog became sacred because it remained connected to nature in a way humans slowly lost.
That is why dogs ground us.
That is why dogs heal us.
That is why dogs reconnect us to truth.
People today talk about chemicals like oxytocin and cortisol as if chemicals are the source of love and happiness.
But chemicals are only measurements.
They are not the cause.
Love existed before science named it.
Peace existed before science measured it.
Faith, instinct, passion, creativity, and spirit have created the greatest moments of my life.
Not science alone.
I want people to see nature in me.
I want people to feel love in me.
I want people to feel the energy that comes from instinct, faith, and connection.
My entire career has been built on that.
Not simply observing dogs intellectually…
but connecting with them spiritually and instinctively.
The dog’s true superpower is presence.
Humans live in the past.
Humans live in the future.
Dogs live in the now.
That is why when we look into the eyes of a dog, we see honesty.
We see truth.
We see peace.
We see everything we wish existed more inside ourselves.
But modern society makes a mistake when it reduces dogs only to intelligence or emotion.
That is like cutting the dog in half and only speaking about one piece.
The heart and the mind are only part of life.
Spirit and instinct are completely different dimensions.
And when all four work together:
Spirit.
Instinct.
Heart.
Mind.
Life becomes extraordinary.
There are intelligent people with no instinct.
There are intelligent people with no faith.
There are intelligent people who do not know how to love.
Science alone does not create wisdom.
It does not create peace.
It does not create leadership.
It does not create connection.
This is why I often say:
‘Dog’ is ‘God’ spelled backwards.
Because dogs reconnect human beings to spirituality, nature, energy, presence, and the soul.
Before humans learned technology…
before humans learned science…
humans learned survival, instinct, coexistence, and connection through nature.
Every being has four worlds inside them:
Spirit.
Instinct.
Heart.
Mind.
But modern society mostly speaks only about two worlds:
The intellectual world.
And the emotional world.
Instinct is what protects life.
Instinct protects the family.
Instinct protects the pack.
Instinct protects nature.
Love is beautiful.
But instinct is necessary.
Leadership is responsibility.
Leadership means accepting the responsibility of keeping others safe, balanced, healthy, and alive.
That is true leadership.
This is what dogs teach us every day.
The value of the dog is not that the dog is greater than God.
The value of the dog is that the dog reflects the balance human beings are searching for.
Spirit.
Instinct.
Heart.
Mind.
And human beings must remember that these same four dimensions exist inside all of us.
A better human being reconnects to spirit.
Reconnects to instinct.
Reconnects to heart.
Reconnects to mind.
And when we reconnect to all four, we can connect not only with dogs, but with all living beings…
horses, cats, birds, nature, and each other.
That connection is simple.
Natural.
Profound.
And that is what creates a better human…
and therefore…
a better dog.”
